OFFICEBRICKS combines high quality in terms of functionality and design with optimum user comfort. Our concept of modular soundproof booths is therefore a leader in professional use in offices, industrial buildings and public areas.

Our acoustic booths are made in Germany. OFFICEBRICKS’ design and construction expertise guarantees our customers high-performance enclosures that stand the test of time. We only use high-quality materials and electrical components from reputable suppliers. Our individual parts are standardised and prefabricated with precision.

Our acoustic booths are self-supporting and do not need to be fixed to the floor, so they can be dismantled like a piece of furniture and reassembled elsewhere, even when moving house. Dismantled booths require very little storage space. The ease with which they can be assembled and dismantled (thanks to the bricks system) makes our acoustic booths particularly suitable for trade fairs and events.

OFFICEBRICKS products are equipped with a unique ventilation system. This guarantees particularly quiet air circulation while ensuring a high rate of renewal. The ventilation of an acoustic booth – whether it’s a small telephone booth or a larger meeting booth – is crucial to user comfort.

Our products, whatever their size, offer excellent soundproofing both from the inside out and from the outside in: triple-layer soundproof walls, doors and windows with high-performance frames and glass, and insulated floors and ceilings. The sound absorption and naturally pleasant atmosphere of OFFICEBRICKS soundproof booths creates – according to our customers – excellent working spaces in both office and workshop environments. The ventilation system also features acoustic insulation to prevent annoying ventilation noise.

When it comes to measuring the acoustic performance of soundproof booths, there are currently no mandatory tests or global standards. Some manufacturers have developed their own standards, but these are not universally recognised. In order to give an indication of the acoustic performance of our booths, we had them tested by an independent certified institute specialising in acoustic measurements. These measurements produced a sound insulation value of 34 dB, which represents very good sound insulation for the relevant areas of application. Since laboratory conditions place extreme demands on the product, the value may be higher in a natural environment.

OFFICEBRICKS has developed a high-performance ventilation system, made from hygienic materials and with its own soundproofing, to guarantee minimum noise pollution and optimum air quality.

The fans, sourced from specialist and renowned manufacturers, are located in the roof of the booth, in special soundproofed ventilation boxes. The fan boxes are plug&play connected to the electrical installation. No protruding parts or structures interfere with the aesthetics of the acoustic cabins. The air inside the cab is distributed evenly and optimally via finned rails, without creating annoying draughts.

The maximum air exchange rate for the different types of cab is as follows:

  • Mobile Unit, Phone Unit and Work Units: 1x fan (small) – 80 m³/h => controlled by a motion sensor
  • Dialogue Unit: 1x fan (large) – 160 m³/h => controlled by a motion sensor
  • Meeting Unit: 2x fan (large) – 160 m³/h each, 320 m³/h in total => controlled by a motion sensor + dimmer
  • Conference Unit: 3x fan (large) – 160 m³/h each, 480 m³/h in total => controlled by a motion sensor + dimmer

Thanks to the design of our ventilation system and the use of high-performance fans, noise levels are very low, almost below the threshold of perception, both inside and outside the acoustic cabins.

For the Mobile Unit, Phone Unit, Work Unit and Dialogue Unit acoustic booths, ventilation and lighting are controlled by motion detector. The Meeting Unit and Conference Unit models also have a control box for adjusting ventilation flow and lighting intensity.

Optional / air purifier: an ion-based air purifier can be integrated into our products. Combined with our ventilation system, this further improves the air quality inside OFFICEBRICKS acoustic booths. If you would like to know more about the benefits of this system, please contact us.

 

Electricity consumption depends on how long the booth is in use. A built-in motion detector controls the light and ventilation and switches them off automatically after a delay of 3 minutes (adjustable up to 7-8 min).

OFFICEBRICKS products are permeable to signals. This means you can use your mobile phone or connect to available WiFi networks.

All OFFICEBRICKS cabins are CE marked. This covers the following European directives

  • Directive relating to the placing on the market of electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits (2014/35/EU)

  • Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EU)
  • Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (2011/65/EU [RoHS2])

GS certification

Our acoustic enclosures are GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit – safety standard) certified by TÜV Süd (German certification body). This means that the products meet the requirements of the German Product Safety Act §20 to §22 ProdSG in terms of guaranteeing health and safety.

Customisation

All our acoustic booths can be ordered (at no extra cost) with a DIN right or DIN left door hinge.

If, when moving house, the door opening is no longer adapted to the room configuration, it is possible to adapt the opening direction. In this case, simply contact our customer service department to purchase the corresponding door element and frame as spare parts.

We offer our customers a high degree of flexibility!

For Work Unit and Dialogue Unit models, the 75 cm wide window can be positioned on the right (standard version) or left side (mirror version). On special request, the window and door can be interchanged – the door is then 75 cm wide, including the frame.

For the Meeting Unit and Conference Unit models, the position of the 100 cm wide door can be interchanged with that of each 100 cm wide window, even after a move.

For the Meeting Unit model, a 100 cm window is positioned on the right on the long side (standard version) or on the left on the long side (mirror version).

OFFICEBRICKS offers a wide range of options as part of its standard range:

  • Choice of interior colour and choice of exterior colour for the acoustic booth
  • Choice of sound-absorbing panel colour
  • Door opening DIN left or DIN right
  • Electrical connection at the bottom or through the roof
  • Country-specific electrical sockets and cables DE/CH/UK/FR
  • Additional electrical sockets or USB or RJ45 sockets inside the acoustic booth
  • Add-ons such as OnAir occupancy indicator, air purifier, whiteboard or Mediaboard for screen integration with integrated connectivity

The design of all cabins can also be customised using decorative film, for example with a logo or illustration. Ask us for examples.

OFFICEBRICKS can also develop customised acoustic booths to meet your specific requirements. As a manufacturer, from our production site near Frankfurt am Main in Germany, we fulfil our customers’ wishes with passion, quality and precision.

Our products are powered by a simple plug. The connection can be made either on the floor or through the roof of the acoustic booth.

OFFICEBRICKS acoustic booths can be connected to the existing sprinkler system. All you need to do is make the appropriate recesses in the roof of the booths. We’ll be happy to integrate them.

The installation of the sprinklers themselves and the connection to the sprinkler network are not part of the OFFICEBRICKS service and are the responsibility of the customer.

Delivery and assembly

OFFICEBRICKS booths generally have a manufacturing lead time of around 3 to 4 weeks in their standard version. We recommend that you place your order in advance to guarantee on-time delivery.

Once the product has been manufactured, the delivery time depends on the country and place of delivery. Delivery (excluding any customs formalities) can take place within a few days.

NOTE: It is essential to follow the instructions in the installation manual. No special tools or knowledge are required.

Indicative assembly time (not including travel time, unpacking, storage or other):

  • Mobile Unit and Phone Unit: approx. 1 hour with 2 people
  • Work Unit and Dialogue Unit: approx. 1.5 hours with 2 people
  • Meeting Unit: approx. 3 hours with 2 people
  • Conference Unit: approx. 5-6 hours with 2 people

Trained fitters generally need less time for set-up.

In principle, it is possible to assemble our acoustic booths without training by following our assembly instructions. However, we recommend that our larger cabins are assembled by trained fitters.

We are happy to offer training courses to our sales partners. On request, OFFICEBRICKS’ experienced fitters can assemble your acoustic booths. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

OFFICEBRICKS products can be dismantled just as easily and reassembled flexibly at another location. All OFFICEBRICKS acoustic booths are self-supporting and do not need to be fixed to the floor.

We deliver to all countries in the EMEA region.

Sustainability

We attach great importance to the preservation of resources and to a sustainable economy. Over 80% of our acoustic booths are made from wood from sustainably managed forests. The sound absorbers are made from recycled PET and are Oeko®-Tex Standard 100 certified.

OFFICEBRICKS booths are produced in Germany. This guarantees compliance with safety and sustainability standards, thanks in particular to short transport routes and supply chains.

We use high-quality materials to ensure the longest possible service life. If certain parts are damaged during a move, or if a door opening is no longer suitable for the space during a refit, the necessary components can be ordered as a single part. This guarantees that our acoustic booths will be in use for a long time.

Our packaging materials are made from recyclable and recycled materials, and some components are used as fillers in the packaging, saving packaging materials.

Returns and warranty

We provide a warranty on our telephone booths and meeting booths in accordance with the information in our GTC.
